The Hubs and I took a trip to our beloved Rocky Mountains this past weekend for our second anniversary, we took some wonderful pictures and had a great time.
I came home and was excited to really get ready for the fall season; leaves, and pumpkins and mums, and all things chilly. In that spirit I decided that I was just gonna pile a ton of stuff from my craft drawer on the floor and start making stuff.
I used a ton of mason jars in my October 2013 Wedding and unfortunately I was left with just the lids afterwards. Ever since I have been trying to figure out what to do with them.
I have been seeing these great Mason Jar Lid Pumpkins everywhere these days and I thought I would give one a try.
Not only were these super simple (even The Hubs made one) but they came together so so fast.
First arrange all the lids so they are oriented the same way. Thread a piece of twine through the center of all the lids, I went with about seventeen lids, then tie a tight knot.
I used clothes pins for the stem and some cute burlap leaves to finish it off.
They turned out awesome and I had enough to make three, so there is one in my office, my living room and our bedroom. Every where I look it feels like fall.
This is so cute. Your version with the metal exposed gives it a sophisticated, industrial edge. Fall decorations are so much fun to make. And the best part is these are so easy.
